Transition from service to a career in diving—certified training for active-duty and veterans
In June 2021, the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense authorized NAUI to participate in the Department of Defense (DoD) SkillBridge Program. SkillBridge lets service members gain civilian work experience through industry training, apprenticeships, or internships during their last 180 days of service at no cost to the employer.
All In Aquatic Adventures Inc is proud to support this initiative. We welcome active-duty service members and veterans to use their GI Bill® and SkillBridge eligibility to train as NAUI dive professionals at our facility in the Philippines, and to explore a new career path in diving.
SkillBridge runs during your last 90–180 days of service. NAUI internships can be tailored to fit your timeline.
Use your Post 9/11 or Montgomery GI Bill® to cover certification and license fees. The program is optimized to use about one month of benefits per course.
Train from entry-level through to NAUI Dive Professional at a NAUI approved facility and earn globally recognized certifications.
Gain hands-on experience at a dive center: operations, sales, gear maintenance, and leading divers with potential to be hired after your internship.
You can complete the full track to instructor or stop at Rescue Diver or Dive Master. Each certification is a separate module.
Existing certifications from other agencies (e.g. PADI, SSI) can cross over to NAUI, so you may not start from zero.
As a NAUI-affiliated dive center, we offer SkillBridge-eligible service members and veterans the opportunity to complete NAUI certifications and gain professional dive experience at our facility in Zamboanguita, Negros Oriental. You will train with certified NAUI instructors, learn dive center operations, and build the skills needed to work as a dive professional anywhere in the world, whether you stay with us, join a liveaboard, or set your own schedule as an instructor.
Payment options include GI Bill® (apply in advance at va.gov) or out-of-pocket. Equipment rental is typically included for your first two courses; after that, you may need your own gear. We can advise on options and any dive-shop discounts.
If you have prior or existing medical conditions, a medical professional’s recommendation may be required for certain situations; many situations can be accommodated. We encourage you to reach out to discuss your eligibility and timeline.
